Hey,
Kudos to you FatMarc. Granogue as always was a huge success due to your hard work and attention to detail. Race promoters should lok toward you for laying out a days festivities for sure. You do a great job.
Someday I will be holding a race here in Hasvertown and I hope it is as much fun as your day in memory of Andrew and other charities you represent.
Some things I would like to have at our event someday;
1.) live bands scattered through out therace course (laugh away, It;s possible)..
2.) Theme sections of trail, ie Flower power tunnel, a disco tunnel, a tiki bar ride through, beer stop, and a shower section where you get a nice cooling shower (assuming it's a hot day)
and lastly a frank sinatra dean martin tunnel, where there music is pipied in..
any assemblence of these ideas would work well.

everyone's been asking me why?
Why why why, did I dicth the original design of the biketopia team kit? I have an answer, it's simple and self explanitory. Symbolism. For me, the racing team is a passion for me, it's what I did for alot of years, it was my job, my livelyhood, and my passion and pastime, my recreation, my dream. To race bikes for a living and I do it quietly was how I paid my bills for a while. I had more success standing in front of a camera lens or sitting in as a guitar player, but I was a successful bike racer. Not successful in an armstrong way, but I raced against him 2 times. He lapped "all of us" the second time..I remember that day like it was yesterday. Gaggioli screaming, "oohississdisKidthinkeheeez? Frang, gomekkhimstoppnow" I couldn't catch him. Roy came out and got me, "hey man" he says, "fuuur git it, he's gone" I swallowed hard and said to myself, "what the fu...?" and stopped pedalling until the group caught up to me, Roy stopped pedalling also, then asked me, "where are you going for dinner tonite?" I answered with a question, "what city are we in?". No one said anything else except the occassional," did he blow up yet?" or "who is that kid?" all we heard were screams of "what the fuck is going on!?" or " who let that kid go?!" and time splits that were growing, alarmingly. Each lap led to a greater deficit for us. So, we went faster, and so did he. He managed to lap us by the end of the race. I didn't have an answer in the trailer. Usually I could catch most people and slow them down, disrupt their momentum. it was part of my job, the pther part of my job if I was still alive at the end of the race was to lead out, to the line, last man on deck as I was told. I couldn't sprint but I could roll up to the line offering a slingshot of speed .. if I wasn't dead by the time I got there...
So, why did I change the uniforms? to express how much I love bicycle racing, to show how much I respect the people who race their bikes, to display an emotional feeling of the comraderie between the racers and teams, it's just a symbol of how I feel, and it's goping to ramain the symbol for our team. The colors? or lack of colors, that's easy also. I think it looks good, who doesn't look good in black and white? it's tight.
